Fall Waterfall
Fall Waterfall
Fall Waterfall was painted in oil on 20x16 canvas in February of 2018. This is another indicator of my favorite season being expressed on canvas. I love mountains and waterfalls for elements of content in a landscape painting, and when it comes to seasons of the year autumn is the best!
As this one materialized in my mind, I realized that most waterfalls painted show the water tumbling through the rocks and trees with mountains usually all around. I had already painted one or two by this time in that setting. For whatever reason, I felt the need to bring the water over the edge with no background mountains so that it leaves the observer wondering what is on the other side above the waterfall.
I thank my dear friends, Larry and Louwanna York for purchasing the original and for the Lord using that purchase as encouragement for me to keep on. It was my first sale!
