Botany Bay, SC

June 26th of last year, Laurie and I took a quick day trip to take in Angel Oak on St John's Island and Botany Bay Beach at Edisto Island, SC.  We were not there for a sunrise, so I found this beautiful picture that I really wanted to paint and thought you would like it too! 
This time the sky was very simple to paint, but the ocean and the tree stretched me quite a bit.  Capturing a somewhat mirrored sheen and reflection of the sky on the water in the foreground was a welcomed challenge!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
