Almost Sunrise Original

Almost Sunrise was painted in oil on 24x18 triple-primed canvas and the Original is still available.

The sky, especially when there are clouds, at sunrise or sunset and really any time of day or night, is like snowflakes in that every one of them is unique.  This one with the moon, the morning star (Venus), and some bright pink clouds was no exception. 

I just read yesterday in someone's post that "no one can paint a sky like our heavenly Father".  This is true, but I don't think He minds if I continue to have that as the goal for my artwork...not to take away from His glory, as if that were really possible, but instead to point to Him as does all of His creation!
